Catch creatures and explore Idyll
Aniimo is Pawprint Studio's free-to-play creature-catching open-world RPG. Explore Idyll, collect Aniimo, and Twine with them to use their abilities. You can also visit a sky-floating metropolis, meet other Pathfinders, and take part in competitions.
Aniimo is now available as a free Windows game on Steam, with free base-game listings on Xbox Series X|S and PS5. Open the current game page to start playing; the developer announced mobile launch for September 23, 2026.
Start with the current game
- Open Aniimo on Steam and install the free Windows game.
- If you still have a client from a previous test, install the current launch client; the old test clients can no longer be used.
- For launch egg rewards, distinguish the mysterious Susuta egg tied to pre-registration from the random Perfect Egg earned through multiple days of login.
Build your collection and use its abilities
Catch Aniimo with Aniipods, set traps, and time your catches. Which Aniimo appear depends on the environment, weather, phenomena, and time of day. Most Aniimo can evolve.
Twine with a collected Aniimo to essentially become it, see the world from its perspective, and use its skills to solve puzzles, win battles, and overcome challenges.
Exploration across Idyll includes challenges, races, and discovery, with gliding, diving, and burrowing among the ways to travel.
Team up or settle into Homeland
Egg Heist is a PvEvP mode where you can join a three-player team for real-time searches and battles in the Lost Isles.
Each Pathfinder owns a personal RV parked at a campsite on Idyll, where players can meet and interact. Return to Homeland with your RV to plant crops, build decorations, and arrange your space with Aniimo.
